SOLD SECURE, the Police and Insurance
Approved test authority have recently
awarded their "GOLD STANDARD" to Sempal
Automotive Ltd, part of the Spal s.r.l Group
of Italy, for their motorhome alarm system,
the first in the industry to meet this
rigorous standard.
This is a dedicated motorhome
specification, in the Electronic Category
and not a general commercial vehicle
specification.
The products tested and evaluated by SOLD
SECURE are recognised by the Police and
Insurance Companies.
The alarm
system uses wireless sensors, passive infa-red
to protect the interior and magnetic
switches for all the exterior doors,
windows, and lockers. Up to 30 sensors can
be radio encryption coded into the system.
The use of wireless sensors also means no
untidy wiring running around the vehicle,
disturbing the vehicle trim.
Random encryption coding means total
security, the system cannot be "scanned" or
the code "captured".
The basic specification is as follows:
2 random encrypted
remote controls (a total of 4 can be
coded to the system).
Remote central door
locking (converts from manual, if
fitted).
Additional
immobilisation if required.
Ignition door
locking.
Remote Interior
light operation.
Panic alert from
the remote.
Night/sleep mode.
Battery back-up
siren.

The system has the ability to be
up-graded by the installer to include
many additional features, for example:
Wireless
sensors can be fitted to include
garage/ shed doors within the
vicinity of the vehicle.
Direct link to
the SpalSat pay-as-you-go tracking
device.
